This course is modeled from the State of Illinois Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, Version 2.0 produced by the State of Illinois Department of Human Rights.

This training complies with section 2-109 of the Illinois Human Rights Act (“IHRA”).

This course is presented by the Jamaica Bay Community Development Corporation, inc. and is considered “pre-approved” by the Illinois Nurse Practice Act Rules as described below:

Illinois Nurse Practice Act Rules, Subpart A: General Provisions: Section 1300.130 Continuing Education; c) Approved CE Sponsors and Programs; 1)   Sponsor, as used in this Section, shall mean: K)   Providers approved by another state’s board of nursing

The Jamaica Bay Community Development Corporation is an approved provider for the Florida Board of Nursing CE Broker Tracking # 50-31049, the New York State Department of Health TP10340, and the New York State Education Department # IC 213.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to

Define what sexual harassment is consistent with the Illinois Human Rights Act.

Provide examples of conduct that may constitute unlawful sexual harassment.

Summarize Federal and State statutory laws concerning sexual harassment including remedies available to victims.

Summarize employer responsibilities in the prevention, investigation, and corrective measures of sexual harassment.
